Note: During the two weeks of your 100-hour Multistyle Yoga Teacher Training course, you would be studying the following aspects of yoga:

“Ha”, meaning sun and “tha”, meaning moon, this style of yoga aims to balance the sun and moon forces in our bodies, ultimately cultivating a clear consciousness within the mind and body. Considered to be the foundation of all yogic asana practices, Hatha Yoga is the fundamental roots from which we balance body and mind in every practice. Every Hatha Yoga practice begins ends with mantra chanting with a core focus during the asanas on breathing (pranayama) and meditation. The poses you see in a Hatha practice are active and strong. Flexibility will also increase during this practice as well as awareness of body and breath.

Ashtanga Yoga became popular by Sri K. PattabhiJois and is an energetic, dynamic practice. During your 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in India , you will learn how your Ashtanga practice connects you back to the ancient roots of the yogic practice of asana. Unlike a lot of popular, vinyasa style practices you see in modern-day yoga, Ashtanga is the same series of poses practiced in the same order each time and the practices don’t involve music. In this discipline, you’ll learn through the power of breath and meditation to turn your gaze inwards and focus your internal power as you move through this series. We will teach you the whole primary series, including the rules of sequencing, pranayama, meditation, drishti (focus or eye gaze), mantra chanting and the bandhas. (energy locks).

Throughout our ever-changing lives, we offer encounter triggers that leave our breath irregular and unnatural which can leave us with unhealthy breathing habits, limiting the flow of prana (energy) in the body. Together, we will work to liberate and control the breath through pranayama practices. This is incredibly important to regulate our life force or energy flow. With a regular pranayama practice, which you will learn during your course, you will unblock the breath which will allow you to feel calm, restored and at peace. We will also work with the breath in asana practice and the importance it holds.

Philosophy classes are an incredibly important part of your yogic journey. It’s important to learn yoga, but it’s also important to learn “the why” of yoga. During your time with us in Goa, you will learn about the chakra system and how to balance yourself, as well as the eight limbs of yoga (Yoga Sutras by Patanjali).Philosophy classes are a wonderful time to share and take part in active discussions with your teacher and classmates to bounce ideas around. CURRICULUM FOR 100-HOUR MULTISTYLE YOGA TEACHER TRAINING

At Goa Yogashala, all our programs are designed to give you the best yoga teacher training experience. Our highly-experienced, Yoga Alliance accredited teachers train you in ancient yogic forms with a contemporary approach. This 100 hour yoga TTC in Goa is specifically designed for those who, due to lack of time, sufficient funds, or whatsoever reason, aren’t able to complete a 200-hour Multistyle Yoga teacher training. However, we do encourage you to complete the other half of your training to be certified by the Yoga Alliance and to deepen your knowledge.


Please keep in mind that the course is designed for all levels of yoga practitioners, however, we suggest that you have a regular yoga practice before joining the program. Your level of prior practice is an arbitrary standard and we do not judge anyone based on their knowledge or practice.


Additionally, it is important to note that students completing the 100 hour Multistyle Yoga Teacher Training Goa receive a ‘Certificate of Participation’. A Yoga Alliance accredited RYT 200 certificate of completion is only rewarded to those who complete the entire four-week training.

What to expect out of your 100 hour Multistyle Yoga Teacher Training?

100 hour yoga course essentially, comprises the curriculum of the first two weeks of a four-week 200-hour Multistyle TTC. Though this level is basic, it is an intensive course that requires your complete dedication and focus. During these two weeks, you get to practice the ancient form of Hatha, get an introduction of Ashtanga, the basics of Mysore yoga, as well as the history of yoga and the anatomy of the human body, and much more.

Week 1

The first week of the course begins with an introduction to yoga and the yoga teaching profession. Throughout this week, you will be taught about the history of yoga and its various definitions as well as forms, as described by the various school of thought. You would also begin practicing the primary/basic series of HATHA, regarded as the foundation and the most conventional form of yoga that is practiced in the modern world. At the same time, you will learn about the important principles of adjustment and alignment and be introduced to yoga anatomy and physiology.

During the week, you would also learn about your primary tasks as a yoga teacher by starting to teach in pairs as well as small groups. Throughout these teaching practice classes, you will be given simple tasks by your yoga mentor and be expected to follow their guidance and unveil your inner voice as a future mentor. 

You would also get a chance to learn about the various Yoga philosophies which primarily focus on the various yogic traditions. Additionally, you will start learning about the principles of Patanjali’s eight limb system, as mentioned in the Yoga Sutra. 

Your evening classes, during the entire course period, are dedicated to gentler practices, such as yin yoga, restorative yoga, yoga nidra, and meditation. This is programmed to provide your mind and body the necessary nourishment and rest that it requires after a long day of intense practice. Occasionally, we will also introduce certain meditation techniques such as mantra chanting, Satsang, chair yoga, and partner yoga. 

Week 2

Welcome to week 2 of your 100 hour yoga teacher training in Goa, India. After the introduction to important fundamentals of yoga training in the first week, it is time to delve deeper into the more intense practices of yoga. Thus, we dedicated this week towards learning and practicing of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga – a style popularized by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, that truly revolutionized yoga and brought it to every corner of the world. 
During the second week, you will learn about the basics of Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series, including modifications designed to cater to all levels of practitioners. We also implement teaching methodology during the practice so you understand how to practice these sequences safely and guide others to do the same in the future.
